Post-Speech
After my speech, I absorbed every comment Mr. Green has given me. He elaborated on my speech by explaining the intricacies of REITs and even added onto my discussion of Market Liquidity and Volatility. I took some time to think about my future steps into perfecting my research. As context, in order to completely polish my OW, I redid my website so it could target novice investors in an interactive platform, placing users in a simple game where they can go through market fluctuations during economic downfalls like COVID-19. I believed this experience would take users on an immersive mission of investing through REITs and facing inflation at the same time, simplifying the normal time of 2-3 years of work into 5-6 minutes of gameplay.
Proposal
In order for my perspective mentor to understand my OW and my goal in this class, I had planned to make a proposal entailing all the minute steps that had to be taken for me to understanding the fundamental knowledge about Real Estate. For ISM 2, I had planned to use my old OW idea, a website that was able to predict inflationary periods in a 4-9 year span depending on the U.S market. However, through time I realized that this would be an overwhelming and difficult task to do, as I would need a real-time investor assisting me through every step of the creation of the product. Thus, I decided to instead save that idea for next year. I learned the reasonability of few of the goals I placed for myself. Furthermore, I planned on proposing to flip houses to my perspective mentor, aiming to get professional and rich advice from him. I would need to get a real estate license to this and mark a broker for myself, which was partially an arduous task for someone like me, a junior in highschool. It was solemn. Nevertheless, it wasn't impossible.
