The Interview
I have learned how to speak and describe myself in 2-3 sentences, delving into my activities, interests, and passions. This will be enough for an audience to understand who a person is, what their goals and aspirations are, and their future. Additionally, I should know how to attract someone by using persuasive language and rekindling comments.
Many people suffer from the mistake of forcing their pitches and desires onto people in abrupt occurrences. Instead of entering a new group with the desire to find and acquire a new job, one should enter a new space with the goal of making connections and having prolonged, meaningful conversations. Something new I have learned is to follow the butterfly effect: the motivation one has to build new connections can lead to friendships, which can lead to conversations, and may possibly/eventually lead to professional conversations. These professional conversations can assist a pair of people in exchanging pieces of advice/assistance.
I hope to learn more skills in the future on the topic of learning how to attract professionals and convince them to accept my mentorship. Patience is a skill that I'm still learning and delving into the skill can help me with my cold calling, cold emailing, and rejection from clients.
